The One About My Next Project...

It occurred to me that I am nearing the completion of two projects...two quilt tops.  And, for once, I am way ahead on my Christmas sewing with just two small gifts to finish up.  woohoo!  Which all means that soon I will have nothing to work on.  (as if)  So.  I have been giving thought to what I can do next.

I need a project with no deadline, because after the beginning of the year, I have two major projects to begin.  After much deliberation ('much' being defined as no more than 2 minutes), I decided that I am going to start working on the Village quilt.  I have everything I need for the quilt top.  So, why not, hey?

Here is everything I need for the quilt top...

Won't that be fun??  I surely think so!

We woke up to snow this morning...it was so pretty...fluffy white snow in the sunshine.  It is pretty much gone now, though.  Which, by the way, is fine with me.

Have a good rest of the week!!!

First Snow...

If it lasts less than 5 minutes,
melts as it hits the ground,
and ends as quickly as it started...
does it count as the first snow??

 Yesterday afternoon...
a gust of wind,
a bit of snow,
and it was done.

Crazy!

I think I may be crazy.

Well, okay, so that's not exactly accurate.
I have actually come to the conclusion
that I am crazy!
Why, you ask?

Well.  Here's the deal.
Every single gift I am giving this
Christmas is handmade.
By me.
And, as if that isn't enough,
I am in the process of finishing up a
few things for my sister
to give to her grandchildren.
For Christmas.
And, I have a special order from my etsy shop.
For Christmas.

I am nowhere near checking things off my list.
But, wait...here's the really crazy part...
Yesterday, I asked a friend if she didn't
need a quilted cover for her Kindle.
Not as a Christmas gift.
Just cuz.

It doesn't need to be done right now.
But, I found the perfect tutorial
and I'm anxious to try it.
I'm gonna do it now.
Today.

I tell ya.
Crazy!

I justify it by saying that it won't take long.
Actually, nothing takes me very long.
I sew fast.
And, I work well under pressure.
 I'll get everything done.
On time.
For Christmas.

On a slightly different note...
we had our first snow today.
It's still snowing, in fact.

Hope you're having a great weekend!
