So. To continue. In July of 2020, I was diagnosed with Lymphedema, which is a chronic condition that is treatable but not curable. I have it in both legs. Lymphedema is a result of the lymphatic vessels failing to drain excess fluid, therefore causing swelling. Treatment generally consists of manual lymphatic drainage (massage), compression therapy (stockings and bandages), skin care, exercise, and proper diet. I go to a certified lymphedema therapist for my massages on a regular basis. I do my best to stay on top of it all.
