Tying shoes...More Kaylynn.

 

These are the shoes that Kaylynn wears.

Dang cute...but no laces. 

She also has velcro shoes.

Again, no laces.

Therefore, it's been a challenge
to teach her how to tie.

So, we practiced while she was here,
using one of my shoes.

By jove, I think she's got it!

I wasn't thinking when I turned my camera

and pushed the button to record this.

Kaylynn loves to color and draw. 

I made this out of a piece of corrugated

cardboard and an old shoestring.

Kaylynn took it home to keep up with her new skill.

We had a great time but,

as always, our time together

went by way too quickly.

I was busy in the kitchen

(cleaning up after breakfast & cutting out an apron pattern).

I could hear Kaylynn...

she was talking to the dogs.

I came out to see what they were doing.

The 3 of them were marching up and down the hall.

Kaylynn was chanting:

"Taggie Taggie Taggie

(clapping/marching)

Hush, Arregera

(cuz Allegra barks when Kaylynn moves faster than a walk)

Come on Taggie

Arregera, be quiet

And variations of that.

Continuously.

Without stopping.

With. Out. Stopping.

Over and Over.

30 minutes.

Not kidding.

Tag is stretched out on the floor beside my chair.

He is tired.

Forever In My Heart...Cruiser's Photoshow

I tried so hard to get this loaded onto my blog last week, on the date that would have been Cruiser's 11th birthday. I kept getting an error message and it wasn't loading properly, so had to wait and try again (and again and again). I was so very disappointed that I wasn't able to share this photoshow at that time. However, when I tried loading it tonight, it worked, so here it is.

I put this photoshow together while in my deepest time of mourning Cruiser...and I do think that it helped with that process. I must have gone through an entire case of kleenex though, while putting everything together. Each photo brought back so many memories of my Cruiser.

The music is from Paul McCartney's "Ecce cor Meum" (translates to "Behold My Heart") album, which came out last fall. It took Paul several years to complete...I think the entire album is excellent! This particular section of his classical piece is called 'Interlude' (Lament)...written during the time that Paul was mourning the death of his wife, Linda. I must warn you, the music is very sad.

Something new to play with here...

YAY...you can now upload videos! Here's a photoshow I made of Tag about a year ago. It's about 30 seconds long and is set to Led Zeppelin's "Since I've Been Loving You". ENJOY!

It's pretty funny to me that the photos are all of him sleeping, as he is the most active dog I know! He may sleep for awhile, but the instant I am up and moving around, he's right there with me! haha!
