I am selective about the food brand labels I buy...
I could write an entire blog post
on what a food snob I am.
Don't worry.
I won't.
I won't.
I will write about peanut butter, though.
I love Jif peanut butter and
have eaten it for as long as I can remember.
Me Mum tells me that's what we ate at home.
So, really.
As long as I can remember.
I like the creamy peanut butter and
only Jif satisfies my taste buds.
When grocery shopping last week,
I realized that I needed peanut butter.
However, I was short on cash.
Skippy peanut butter was on sale...
almost a dollar less than Jif!
I thought, "hmmmm...so how different could it be?"
Well, I gotta tell you.
It is really different!
Did not have the peanut buttery taste.
Not.
At.
All.
I was mildly surprised,
as I figured my taste buds
probably wouldn't notice much.
ha!
So.
I'm curious.
What kind of peanut butter do you prefer?
There's a poll at the top of my sidebar.
edited 6/21 to add: Voting has ended. Here are the results...27 total votes, 19 for Jif, 6 for other, 1 for Skippy. That is very interesting to me.
Thanks!

Definitely creamy.... I've always bought Skippy, because that's what I grew up with... but now I'll have to try Jiff... LOL! Might make better pb cookies too! Oh YUM! :-)
Hey that is funny, I like Jif, but not being a big peanut butter fan, which I am glad because if I was like my dad was, he would eat it with a giant spoon.
I do happen to have a weakness for peanut butter and chocolate anything. :)
Got to have my Jif. Best to use when making my peanut butter and banana sandwich. Has to be on Arnold's 12 grain bread and use Miracle Whip. Have been eating that since I was young and now it is such a treat.
You made me hungry. Off to the kitchen to make one. I haven't had lunch yet.
Thanks,
trisha
I love pb (reeses are excellent too! LOL) Anyway - grew up on Skippy - never tried Jif!
As for me, I'll take Hallam's peanut butter....just made out of peanuts, that's all....just pure peanuts and made right next door to me in Ozark, Missouri.
I like Jif creamy or crunchy with a spoon or with an apple, on a cracker or with some chocolate...just can't beat Jif!
Have you ever tried Almond butter? Its really good on toast. If you love pb you should try this.
I like Jif creamy and crunchy but I thought we always had Skippy at home!!!

My sweetie grew up on Jif so don't bring anything else home! His Momma still makes homemade waffles on Sunday, served with Jif and warm maple syrup. All I can say is"don't knock it until you've tried it-YUM!!
