Broken...

My car is broken.
Well, actually not broken.
But, I should not be driving it.
There is coolant in the oil.
YIKES!
Majorly bad!
Expensive to fix, so need to save up some money.

In the meantime,
I'll be hitching rides to/from work with friends.
No one from this area works part-time,
so I'll be at work longer.
Bummer.

But.
I have a plan.
Take my Snow Days stitchery to work with me.
Stitch for the extra time I'll be there
waiting for my ride-giver to finish her hours.
That will help those few hours go by faster.
And, I should get a lot accomplished!
Don't you think?
It ought to be an interesting time.

I am trying to not worry...
to give all my worries to God.
To have faith and trust.
To remember that it's all up to Him
and His timetable.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might. - Ecclesiastes 9:10

Jacque,
Sorry to hear about your car! It's good you can get some rides to work with friends...and thinking about the stitching time you'll have waiting is a good way to look at it! Giving it over to God and trusting that a good plan will materialize is the best. I find the more I worry sometimes the worse it gets...the more I relax and believe that it will be fine...the sooner it is!! Good luck and hopefully you'll see the car fixed up soon!
Hugs and blessings,
Courtney

Wow! That sure is a whopper of a broken! Even if it's just a head gasket, the labor involved is $$. I think with all the waiting you will have your Snow Days stitching done way before me... I better get moving here...

Great idea to stitch while you wait. And it will help you to be relaxed when you do get home.

So sorry about that darned car ~ and I love your attitude ~ you'll stitch while you wait ~ I have a friend who always says 'if you don't like the way something is going, then 'change' your mind'. And that's what you're doing! I'm sending lots of positive vibrations your way!

Ah Jacque - so sorry - been going thru car issues myself so I completely understand the $$ that goes along with saying those words! So happy you can find rides to work and great idea taking stuff to work on - you may even get people interested in it and start a quilting bee or get orders (which the way you stitch will have that car paid off in no time!)
