I Have Never...

Really, I have never before messed up so badly when putting a quilt top together.

Until tonight, that is.  Those little green charms that became half-square triangles did not work out as I had envisioned.  I'll spare you the boring details.  Not going to rip it all out, either.  I still have 80 or so charms, so will just let them sit there until I get over  the "what the heck was I thinking?" feeling.

Here's what I think is going on...I have so many projects planned before Christmas and this one came up unexpectedly...not planned at all.  I thought I could whip through it and get it done by the end of this weekend.  Normally, I work rather well under pressure.  Apparently, not at this time.  Probably cuz I'm not feeling in tip-top shape.  Still haven't completely recovered from the pneumonia and then the cold that I got, I guess.

I think I'll just move on to something else and, perhaps, come back to those green charms.  Time will tell.

In the meantime, here's a photo of Tag E. Butt for your viewing pleasure...sleeping with his blankie from his Aunt Joanne.

I think we all have those days, although I have more than most, lol.

Ooh Jacque - sorry about that - but I hope it turns into a happy mistake. Meant to post earlier that I love those fabrics - great together.

Ahhhh my man Tag - I swear I could just cuddle him to pieces!

I know that we all have those days. I am sure it isn't as bad as you think though. I agree with you whole heartedly. I don't rip out either. Well that is very rarely anyway. I hope you aren't too hard on yourself. Just move on to something else that makes you happy. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff, right? Have a great weekend. Lisa

Oh Jacque, don't give up! You'll get your old self back. Almost everything I sew these days are a mess because I feel a bit scatter brained. Too many thoughts, and too little discipline for myself. I just love your doggie. That brown is so pretty! Hang in there!

Well now I don't feel like a total dunce. I am always amazed how you can just whip out these project and I do spend more time ripping that the actual sewing. I bet it was just because it has been so long to get well. I am sure you will conquer the green one anyway.
Have a lovely weekend, my friend.
