What I Did...

Yesterday, I cut fabric and pieced one block.  I took Tag for a short walk, and spent a few hours with a friend.  But, that's all I did.  I took a nap, too.  It was a very lazy day.

Here is the block I pieced...

I am using a fat quarter bundle I won a few years ago, with a pattern by Camille Roskelley, found in her new book, "Simply Retro".  Each block finishes at 18", so I don't need many to make a nice lap-sized quilt.  In the midst of all that is going on, I need to have something to lose myself in...something that I don't need to think about.  Ya know?

I work today, all of next week, and then only two days of the following week.  My last day...retirement...is coming up quickly.  I am ready for it.

Have a good Friday...and a great weekend!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.". Jeremiah 29:11

Beautiful block and more than I did, lol.
Was too hot to get dressed, never mind going out, so we stayed home and had the kids over here.

Hi Jaque, well, the best you can do is take things slowly. Now at work are stressed by having to teach another person and is a big responsibility.
Soon the days will pass and you will feel liberated to be able to devote more time to your family, to Kisa and Tag, your friends and your wonderful works in patchwork, so we can see many of the beautiful work you do. Hugs and Kisses
