YAY!

I'm done with the quilting of my quilt!!! Here's a sneak peek...

I need to sew on the binding, cut off the excess fabric/batting, then handsew the binding. I should be completely done by the end of this coming weekend. I made one or two several mistakes in the making of this quilt. I will tell you all about them (might even show them to you!) when I finish this.

What a wonderful job on quilting. Did you free motion?
I have some quilting to do myself, but i hate pinning the quilt, that is the part I can never get right.

Thank you so much, Alice, Tammy and Julie.

Debbie...I used a walking foot to do square spirals in the blocks and for the straight lines in the sashing and on the 2 inside borders. Then, I used a darning foot to do free motion quilting on the large (~5") outside border. It's not perfect, but I am very pleased with how it's turning out.

Jacque, It doesn't look like machine quilting is going to be in my future. I bought a new sewing machine (a Brother, not expensive) and it is plastic. It seems like a toy! I don't even think it will do free motion or the darning stitch. Of course my old machine was a Montgomery Wards in a cabinet! At least it was heavy and made out of metal. I gave it away too soon. right after getting the new one. Boo hoo..... It still worked just fine, I thought I needed a newer looking one!?!?! That'll teach me. Older IS better!!!
Your quilt is beautiful.
And I like Adam on Idol. He may be too "out there" to win, but he has my vote!
