So far today...

I got two of my sewing projects done.

Here's the April block of the BOM I'm working on...

I had it done and pressed and ready to put away...then noticed that I had the middle 4-square patch turned the wrong way...so ripped out a lot of stitches and sewed everything back up. whew. But, hey! Those triangles were easy to do, after all! And, I think I did pretty good matching seams, too. YAY! Happy girl, here!

I'm almost finished with the secret project using the happy camper fabric. There's about an hour of hand-sewing to do, yet. Oh, and guess what! As cute as that fabric is...the design is not straight on the grain. Not too happy about that...so I'm not going to call it the happy camper fabric any longer.

Now to do the March block of the BOM. Yeah, I know...should have been done already. ohwell.

Raining all day...ugh. But, that's okay...I could concentrate on inside stuff and not worry about yardwork.

Sounds like we are busy being creative today.
Here is a quote from the book I am reading right now, in regard to knitting.
"She had 2 needles and she could still make something that had not been there before. It comforted her when she did." As I read that I realized that isn't that what we all do when we quilt, or knit, or crochet, or write music. We make something that had not been there before. Profound statement for me.

Jacque - you are certainly a bundle of creativeness lately! Just one cool thing after another - love this new block!

Also love that quote from your friend above - yes very profound and so true!

Love that block, you sure are getting a lot of quilting done lately.
All I have done is look at pictures to decide what to make next, lol.

Yup...perfect seams! I'm sorry you felt the need to go back and re-do the block, but if you're anything like me it would have irritated you every time you looked at it. I like the quote from Joyce too. There is a lot of comfort in creating things. Have a great creative day!
