Ask...

"So I say to you:
Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives;
he who seeks finds;
and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
Luke 11:9-10

I used to have a serger. Bought it secondhand and used it aLOT...wore it right out! Now that my interest in sewing has made a resurgence, I so wanted to have a serger again. (I thought that was kinda funny...resurgence/serger...haha!)

Bren and I were talking one day and I told her that I really really wanted to have a serger. I decided to save money from my income tax refund and started to look around for a used serger. One day, Bren called...her honey, Dan, had found a serger...did I want it? A free serger? Let me think...LOL. YES!!! Thank you, and praise God!!

It got here the other day...I cleaned it up (mostly just dusty) and tried it out. It works! It looks as if it's not been used very much. But, I will take it into the shop and have them look it over, oil it, and adjust the tension. Isn't it gorgeous???

I LOVE it!!!

I thank God and give Him all my praise and glory.
Do you see how His hand was all over this?
I do...and I know that I am very blessed indeed.

How wonderful and very sweet of Bren to help you find one.
It looks like a nice machine and you will love it.
I only use mine for rug binding, so got a sears cheap one, good enough for that job.

Wow! It looks brand new! You lucky girl. I used to have a serger. It was given to me by a friend that never used it. I used it a couple times but gave it to a lady that was going to use it a LOT. Do you post anything you make with it? Would love to see your "creations". Have fun.

I want to be skinny - can you help with that? LOL - No seriously - how wonderful is that that the serger came into your life thru your dear friend when you needed it! You deserve it! Can't wait to see all your projects - one is just as great as the next! joanne

Jacque, thanks for commenting on my blog and the aprons are 100% cotton! They dyed beautifully. I will list them on Etsy probably Sunday.
And great for you getting a serger. I want one too, but the chances of getting a free one aren't very good. Unless you're you!!! Great luck!
