A Day For Giving Thanks...

Today is a quiet day for me.
After having 2 meals of turkey with
all the trimmings in the last 5 days,
and now that me Mum has left,
I am using today as an extra day...
one to do something fun.

I have a quilt to start,

gifts to sew for my coworkers...

and bee blocks to catch up on.

But...you know what?
I'm going to do none of those.
I feel the need to just spend
time doing something fun.

Not yet sure what it will be.
But, I will be sure to show you!
{grin}

For some reason,
I didn't take photos while
me Mum was visiting.
Except this one...

She brought me a very
special birthday gift.
Oh, not to worry...
you didn't miss my birthday.
This gift is very early.

There is a story involved
with this beautiful needlepoint
that I will share at some other time.
For now, just know that it is very special to me.

It has now fallen to me to finish it.

Today is a day of giving thanks.

Among many other things,
I am thankful for all of you and
I wish you all a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Our Thanksgiving Celebration

What a day.

My sister from Colorado, Julie, was there...
a surprise for our Mom.

A lot of people in a small space.
But, we all had a great time.

The 4 J's together...telling stories
on and about each other.
All of us laughed so hard.

Here are some photos of our day...

Sister Julie & blankets for
Manley & Kisa (made by me).
What fun we had.

I was sorry that Paul & his family
were unable to make it.

I was sorry to see the day come to an end.
