What's Next?

WOW!  The year of 2014 went by so fast!  My first full year of retirement and I am still loving it.  I was afraid that, once I became quite settled into it, I would find the days endlessly long...but that is definitely not the case.  All in all, 2014 was a good year for me...very productive, too.  Check out the tab '2014 Finishes' above...kleenex cozies, pincushions, doll clothes & quilts, zipper pouches, totes, pillow covers, pillowcases, and an entire bed ensemble.  Just to name a few.

I have given much thought to what I hope to accomplish this year.  The list includes:  production of doll clothes ensembles/mix & match outfits, quilting of the flimsies, and finishing of Snow Days.  And, let us not forget the linens...I have lovely plans for linens!

2015 looks to be a good year for me...challenging and busy.  How about you?  Any plans or goals?  Whatever you have in mind, I wish for you a year full of peace, love and blessings.

A New Year...

I am not going to do a recap of how last year was and talk about what I am looking forward to in this new year. Instead, I am going to do something I did several years ago...choose a word for the year and do my best to live by it.

There may be some major changes in my life this year, so I need to stay on track with this to come out at the end of the year in better shape...physically, emotionally, financially, and especially, spiritually.

For this year, I chose the word better.

As in, be better.

At what?

Well, everything.

Be a better sister and daughter, a better friend.  Be kinder and gentler, less judgmental.  Be a better mother and grandmother.  A better daughter to God, giving priority to Him.  Listen more, gossip less.  Be better to myself...eat healthier and move more.  Be a better me...you know, the person who lurks inside of me.  Be better at whatever I do.

Just.  Be.  Better.

Another way to put this is that I just really need to pay attention...to be aware of what I'm doing, what I'm thinking and what I'm saying.  I want to look back and see that I am better than the day/week/month before.  That I made changes in what I did or didn't do.  I want each day to be better.  No simple feat, I suppose...it's all a matter of taking the time to do my very best.  To being better

This day next  year is going to come no matter what I do or don't do...will I be better

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of you.  You read all of my words and take time to make comments.  You support and encourage me.  You think everything I do is wonderful (well, at least those of you who comment do...~grin~).  You love my Tag.  You are friends to me.  I appreciate you all.  Thank you.

Many Blessings to you and yours in 2014.

In the Beginning...

I want to start the new year out by giving you all a proper thank you for following my blog.  Without you, well, I'd be talking to myself and we all know that's no fun!  So, thank you for being here for me, for the encouragement, the support...for just taking the time to let me know you are there.

I am very much looking forward to having a good year.  Lots of thoughts and many plans to work on.

I have a new look...I'll test it out for a few days...may change the colors a bit.  The header photo is from a few years ago...we have no snow on the ground as I type this (though we are expecting to get some any day now!)

I am working on projects this weekend...hope to have lots to show you by the end of tomorrow.

In the meantime...HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jacque & Tag.
